18th May Weston Sandocross, the only autocross to be run on a beach venue within mainland. Attracting variable machines from standard production saloons to Rally cars, 4WD and autocross specials. admission free, The Beach, Weston Super Mare

28th- 31st May The Royal Bath & West Show, Shepton Mallet This Show is the country’s most popular agricultural event of the calendar and is the largest show held on the Showground, The show opening times are 9am - 6.30pm daily This show offers a perfect and inspirational day out for all the family.

27th-29th June Glastonbury Festival 2008 www.glastonbury-festivals.co.uk 21st June Leigh On Mendip Country Fair and Dog Show at The Recreation Field, Leigh On Mendip- Annual country fair for all the family with a companion Dog Show. Stalls, games, entertainment and refreshments, bar and rides to local quarry 11-13th July see’s the return of The Bristol Wine & Food Fair @ The Harbourside in Bristol- full details on www.whatsonbristol.co.uk

Helicopter Fly-in weekend 25th to 27th July 2008, with helicopters flying in over the three days and a static display of Military and Civil helicopters.There will be a range of ground displays, entertainment and stalls along the length of the Beach Lawns.

2nd -25th August- Carters Traditional Steam Fair - Beachlawns , Seafront , Weston Super Mare August 8th The Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, featuring Squeeze, Lulu, Kate Nash and The Feeling. Tickets cost £30 with children aged 6 to 16 half the price. Children under 6 get in free August 8th and 9th. Festival at The Quarry, Sat 22 September 11.00am - 6.00pm, Old Town Quarry, Queen’s Road, Weston super Mare. A showcase of Rural Arts and Crafts in a real "village fete" atmosphere. Free entrance. Pole lathe demonstration from Dell Carvers, the Cottage Farm Spinners exhibiting their skill, local cider from Rich’s Cider and Skittles Football, provided by the Scouts - and many other stalls and events.

Cheddar KONA Bikefest Cheddar 27 - 28th September 2008. The Broadway House venue in Cheddar is well renown amongst cross country riders and downhillers alike.
